Eye spy: Dana Delany has revealed she was left with a slightly droopy right eye after a botched Botox injection seven years ago.

Many Hollywood stars swear by it to delay the ageing process and get rid of pesky frown lines and wrinkles.

But former Desperate Housewives star Dana Delany had a nightmare when a Botox injection went wrong.The 54-year-old star has revealed she was left with a droopy eye when she had the anti wrinkle treatment seven years ago.

'I had never heard of Botox. My dermatologist was saying "You should try this," Delany tells the November issue of Prevention magazine.

But the needle struck a nerve and caused her right eye to slightly droop.'He injected my forehead, hit a nerve and created a huge hematoma,' reveals Delany.  'The nerve has been dead ever since.'

The actress, who left Desperate Housewives last season, says she still notices a slight visible droop on her face.

'I notice it more than anybody else, but I was symmetrical before and now I am not,' she says.'I stopped going to him right then.

'Doctors are human - they make mistakes. But I never went back, especially after he wouldn't own up.'

Unsurprisingly, Delany never had any more Botox and says she would not consider plastic surgery either.

'I won't do it no,' says the actress, who pays tribute to actresses who appear to let themselves age naturally.
