She's nearly six months pregnant and is clearly determined to make the most of her last few weeks of freedom.

Instead of sitting at home relaxing, Penelope Cruz decided to enjoy a night on the town in London with husband Javier Bardem and her sister Monica.

The trio visited the exclusive Groucho members' club for food and drinks before heading home in the early hours of the morning.

Penelope, 36, confirmed last month she is expecting her first child with husband Javier, whom she quietly married in the Caribbean in July.

And when he was asked about the thought of starting a family during an interview in Rome last month, Javier said: 'It is true. I am very happy.'

When he was asked if he and Penelope had decided on a name for the baby, he replied: 'No, not yet.'

The couple, who have been friends for nearly 20 years after working together on the Spanish film Jamon Jamon, when the actress was just 19, have always maintained a relatively low-key relationship.

But Javier, 41, stunned the actress and left her in tears when he made a public declaration of his love for her arlier this year as he collected his Best Actor award at the Cannes Film Festival.

After accepting the trophy, he told the audience: 'I share this joy with my friend, my companion, my love: Penelope: I owe you a lot and I love you so much.'

Penelope previously said that while she was uncertain about marriage, she is very keen to have children.

She told the UK's Psychologies magazine last year: 'I want to have babies one day but not right now. When I do it I want to do it really well. I want it to be my best project in life.

'I don’t know if I believe in marriage. I believe in family, love and children.

Penelope and Javier began dating in 2007 as they filmed Vicky Cristina Barcelona, but have always tried to keep their romance out of the spotlight.

Penelope is currently in London shooting Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides alongside Johnny Depp as the ever-charming Captain Jack Sparrow.

The film, the fourth in the series, will see the return of Geoffrey Rush as Captain Barbossa, but Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley will not be reprising their roles as Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann.

The new storyline focuses on Jack and Penelope's character Angelica's relationship as she forces Sparrow aboard Blackbeard’s ship the Queen Anne's Revenge.

Sparrow is uncertain whether Angelica is a con artist who is using him to find the fabled Fountain of Youth. Print this post
